Pacific Color Printers was formed in the early 50s under the name of "Color Print Division of Columbia Council of Camera Clubs". We met in members homes and we were made up with members from all the clubs in the Council. If you belong to any club you were a member of our group with no dues.
At about 1957 we needed some funds, so we set up Pacific Color Printers so that we could collect dues to pay our bills.
In the early 60s we moved into the Photo Lab-Classrooms of Portland Community College and met there for about 20 years. The head of the dept was our Vice Chairman.
At that time we had over 200 members and there were up to 75 out to each meeting.
At these meeting we took up different ideas. We made our own photo equiptment and made our own developers, made our own drums, etc. We worked with all types of ideas including Ektachrome As a Negative.(see the articles with this web site).
From the early 80s (after that employee retaired) we moved to Four Season commity meeting room in Beaverton. In 1997 we moved to Ted Peterson's home in Tigard Oregon.
We meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month from Sept to June. We meet on Sunday because some of our members comes over 150 miles to our meetings. In the past some were comming over 300 miles to our meetings each month.

To get to Ted Peterson's home go south on I-5 or SW Barbur Blvd. Pass Fred Meyer's TIGARD store, and turn right at Hall Blvd (at the Tigard Safeway Store). Go .7 miles to SW Oak St. (the first Trafic light (it has a florist shop at the corner). Turn left on Oak St and cross a small bridge and it is the first house past the bridge on the south side of Oak St. (it is 100 ft. west of the intersection, and there's is no other house for 3 blocks on the south side of the street. Address: 8686 SW Oak St. NOTE:DO NOT park on Oak St or it will cost you some money (from Tigard Police). Park only in Ted's driveway on on 87th.
